Impressive video captures a touchdown pass from a sliding Anthony Richardson, reminding fans why the Colts’ QB was a top-five pick in the NFL Draft and is known for having one of the strongest arms in the league.

Anthony Richardson emerged as the most significant gamble during the 2023 NFL Draft.

A year later, he’s continuing to validate that choice with the Indianapolis Colts.

In just his second year, Richardson is displaying franchise quarterback skills, and during Sunday’s game, he reminded NFL fans of his immense potential with a remarkable touchdown throw for the Colts.

As first quarters across the league transitioned into the second period in Week 1, Richardson delivered a touchdown that quickly went viral on social media.

« What a throw! » one fan exclaimed on Twitter.

« Bro’s got that dog in him, » another fan noted.

« Incredible, » a third fan remarked.

With the Colts down 3-0 against the Houston Texans in an AFC South matchup, Richardson prepared to throw but lost his footing.

He slipped, nearly hitting the ground, but managed to recover just as the pressure intensified around him.

What happened next was a pass that only a select few NFL quarterbacks could execute—a throw that underscored why the Colts selected him with the No. 4 overall pick in 2023, despite his inexperience from his time at Florida.

Setting himself, briefly surveying the field, he launched a near-perfect 60-yard touchdown to Alec Pierce that was truly exceptional.

This gave the Colts a 7-6 lead, while Richardson’s name surged in popularity on X.

« Welcome back, Anthony, » one fan congratulated.

« That was an amazing throw, » another comment read.

Last season, Richardson played in only four games.

Kurt Warner, a former NFL star, discusses whether it’s premature to compare Patrick Mahomes to Tom Brady.

He completed 59.5% of his passes, throwing for 577 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and accumulating four rushing touchdowns.

A shoulder injury hampered his performance significantly.

Coming out of Florida, his inexperience was apparent; he only started more than eight games in one season.

He was also selected after C.J. Stroud, which raised questions about the Colts’ decision to draft him fourth overall.

However, during Week 1 of the 2024 season, Richardson reminded skeptics of his remarkable potential.

His impressive 60-yard touchdown pass resonated across the league, capturing the attention of fans everywhere.
